Something other than UTI?

Question

Has anyone during pregnancy thought they had a UTI?  I called the doc because I am having burning and bleeding when I go.  I am certain the blood is not coming from my cervix but instead of testing right away for a UTI my doctor wants me to put a tampon to be sure I am not having any pregnancy related bleeding and then call back in the morning...  I have not had any bleeding inbetween bathroom visits.

So after fighting for a urinalysis they finally sent me to the lab sure enough I have a UTI! Thanks for the support ladies!  It is really making me question my OB now, I Amy be hunting for a new one.  I am glad I stuck with my guns!

Thanks ladies that's what I thought!  I am so disappointed right now that she would have given me such horrible advice!  I used her when I had my daughter and really liked her now I am having second thoughts about her.

Wow that's really bad they told use to use a tampon! It's really not advised in pregnancy as can cause damage to cervix.

I agree go buy otc uti test strips but I would still go to er never heard of using a tampon to check for blessing there's other ways and I would go to er to be safe

You can buy over the counter UTI test strips! I would check for yourself :)
