Late/Light Periods??

I am sixteen years old and I have been on the pill for 15 months. Recently, my periods have been coming 1-2 days late and are much, much lighter. They only last for about 2-3 days and then I spot for the remainder of the time. I am sexually active, and have been for about 12 months. Being this late is really starting to scare me. Is this normal or could I be pregnant? Also, if it is normal, will my periods eventually stop completely? Any advice is helpful, thank you so much!

It is normal for your periods to do this. They stayed the same for me, I doubt they'll stop. But (usually) 1 out of 100 girls get pregnant while on birth control. You should definitely go to the doc or get a test, you could be pregnant. The longer you go on birth control the more likely it is to harm the baby.

As long as you're getting a period, you're not pregnant. I've been on birth control (different forms) for the last 12 years and my periods slowed down a lot to maybe 1-2 days and it's normal. If you stop getting a period, take a test and go see a doctor. I've stopped my period on an IUD for 5 years and wasn't pregnant, so it was just a side effect of the birth control. It affects everyone differently.
