Holidays
My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year on December 28th. This will be our first Thanksgiving and Christmas together. I had asked him what he wanted to do; come up for one, I'd go to see him for one, both, or we can both spend the days with are families separated. I live in Massachusetts and he lives in Rhode Island. He had said he wanted to do them separate. I was kinda taken back, it's our first holidays together and I was excited to spend at least one with him.
In your opinions, what do you think? Is this somewhat normal/reasonable? I won't make a fuss because if he wants to spend those days with his family it is his decision and I won't make a big deal about it. That wouldn't be fair of me to do that. I'm just very surprised he asked to just spend the two holidays separate.
