So this is a new Maternal Blood draw test that is available with some physician OB-GYN groups.The testing is non-invasive, involving a maternal blood draw, so the pregnancy is not put at risk for miscarriage or other adverse outcomes associated with invasive testing procedures.
This type of test like other more invasive tests helps to rule out serious DNA abnormalities and has a low false positive outcome! I have had this test I am posting this on here for other mothers who may have not heard of this type of test. As well as ruling out the anomalies I am also going to find out the sex of the baby eight weeks earlier than normal. I cite Web-MD as my source of information as well as my OB.
