To Lap or not to Lap
I have two endometriomas, which are cysts on my ovaries. The doctors can see them via ultrasound. The cysts have remained consistent in size since they first found them this past summer. Endometriomas are usually considered a sign of advanced endometriosis, although my doc says that the "stages of endometriosis" thing, from I to IV, is actually kind of artificial because it doesn't predict level of pain or likelihood of pregnancy. I've gone to two reproductive endocrinologists in NYC and they've recommended against a lap because they said it would NOT increase my chances of pregnancy and that removing endometriomas would only have a negative impact on my egg supply.
