Hello! My names Alyssa and I'm 16 years old. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 7 months and I've really been thinking a lot lately...most teen relationships don't last so why should I stay? I've really been thinking about breaking up with him. Now don't get me wrong I love him I really do. Its just all these older people are always telling me "teen relationships never work out" I could really use some advice.

Since your 16 & I am twice your age. Don't worry about whether or not the relationship will work out.  Laugh together and have fun together. Do well in school . And save money so you can travel , go to concerts, maintain or even buy a car, and one day buy a home. If you going to think that far into the future dream big ?

Girl, I found my husband when i was 14. I'm 19 now and married to him for a year.  Graduated 2014. I love him sooo much,  we've had SUPER hard times but we are still together. If you love him, don't let any one else ruin your relationship.

Some of the happiest long term relationships started at young ages, including mine. Met hubby in high school and all the haters swore it wouldn't last, seventeen years later he's still my best friend. My advice? Talk to him about how you feel, successful relationships are built on open communication.

I was with my ex from the age of 14 up until I was 20! It's not about what other people think, it's about what you want and what makes you happy! The only reason we didn't work out in the end was that he turned out to be a control freak!

My old friend got with her boyfriend at the sme time and they are still together, which will be 11 years.

Even if you don't last in the long run, have fun in the short term and see how it goes.  :)

Moving on just because you think you should is silly. However if you feel things aren't working out then yes, move on. I started dating my husband when I was a sophomore in high school, we got married when I was 18, and have been happily married for over 9 years.

Just enjoy your life for now don't worry about what ifs. If your happy stay happy. Practice safe sex, if you are having sex. Do well in school. That should be your main priority :) good luck

If you're happy with him then leave things be. One thing I wish I would have learned a lot sooner than I did is not caring what other people think because in the end...you're the one who has to live with your decision/choices.

Honestly sweetie I was in your shoes but you honestly have to live life you have to live in the moment if you love this guy than be with him. If he makes you happy that's all that matters. You can't let other people bring you down. Let people have their opinions, but do what's right for you. Best of luck to you hun (:
