Open cervix at 5 weeks

I just tested today because I am 3 days late and both tests came back positive! I'm worried though because before I tested I checked my cervix and it's slightly high soft and open. I thought that with pregnancy that it was supposed to be closed?? Could this cause a miscarriage? Please no lectures about checking my cervix while pregnant, I just want to know if I should be worried about my cervix being open!
