How do you deal with a BFN (over and over again)?

Question

Have been ttc for two years, after second Iui just got negative pregnancy results today.  I guess we will go for round 3 next month and maybe consider IVF after that, but in the meantime it gets more and more frustrating each month.  Any coping tips or tricks?

I have struggled for over 5 years and it happened. Took cq10 tablets and used pre seed. Ivf and iui failed and I am 43 and 5w 4d today! Baby dust ladies x

Thank you all for the kind words and advice.  Yesterday was my first time posting after joining few months ago and stalking the site?.   Reading your comments made me feel better.   I also found that going out to a nice comfort-food style dinner with my husband helped at the end of a long day.

It gets harder every time. Lately with the drugs intensifying emotions and building up in my system, it has gotten very hard to cope. This cycle I would describe in one word as weepy! For short term relief I go to exercise classes. The endorphins give me a boost and clear my head for hours. Being at home alone with my thoughts is the worst. I try to put on dance music while doing chores to shut out my negative thoughts. I hope these help you.

It gets harder and harder. The first bfn after my first IUI was probably the hardest. Now I have learned to not test early. It's too heartbreaking. I try to do something for myself after I know it's negative, like get dessert or go to dinner with my husband. The day I actually get a bfp I probably won't even know what to do with myself!

It's awful getting bfns! Apart from one month where I had a chemical I got a bfn every month for nearly two years! We were consistently trying and it was getting me down. But by the time I finally got my bfp it was all worth that wait in the end. Life has it's little plans for you and your time will come! That was a phrase i used to hate but now I know that it does happen! Stick it out girl you will get that bfp! Baby dust your way! X
