Carbon monoxide

Des • US traveler. OR living. RH Neg life yo.
So today we got evacuated from our house for carbon monoxide poisoning. The alarms have been going off since last week, but they said it was just faulty batteries and alarms at first. I'm really concerned now. I have my first doctors appointment on the first, but should I call and see if I can get in sooner? Or does it even matter? Is there anything they could even do in this situation?
