Clomid First Round

Hi. I'm starting clomid this month (should I not miraculously become pregnant on my own this month). I had a miscarriage last month after TTC for 7 months. The dr gave me the option to try on my own or do clomid therapy (with 2 ultrasounds and shot of Human a Growth Hormone shot) and I decided not to try to wait 7 months again. I think it took so long before because I had a vaginal infection I was unaware of for a while. Has anyone else gone thru this type of treatment? What are the ultrasounds and Growth hormone for? Anyone have good stories of clomid working?
