April 2013
My son was born in April. We were scheduled to be enduced because the little guy was a week and a half late.
When we arrived at the hospital, they didn't have any beds. We waited 5 hours in a waiting room. I literally napped on a chair pushed up against a table. :P
When they finally had a bed ready, I was starving and the nurses went back and forth over if I should have food. I eventually got a little meal.
After 4 hours on pitocen, my water broke and things kicked into high gear. Eventually, I had too much pain and got the epidural. I took a nap during Wheel of Fortune.
Finally, my midwife arrived and it was time to push. 3 hours went by that felt like minutes. Then my little boy was born at 12:01 am.
I am so grateful to have him in my life!
