How late is too late?
1st post (yay!), apologies if I'm asking a repeat question, but here goes...
I'm 32 yrs old, bf is 33. We've been together for about 6 years and we've decided to wait until May 2016 to get married and try to start a family (he's getting his PhD and God-willing May '16 is when he'll finish *everybody cross your fingers*). At that point I'll be 34 trying to conceive our 1st.
For the past 3 years or so my Lady Doctor has been having the "if you want to have kids, you should start now" talk with me. It's getting frustrating and has me really freaked out that I won't be able to actually get pregnant when the time comes. I instantly clam up and just nod my head at her...too freaked out to ask deeper follow-up questions. Not to mention the pressure from friends and family about when we're going to take these next steps in our relationship. It's causing me a lot of worry.
Anybody else in a similar situation or waiting to conceive? Are we setting ourselves up for failure by doing it this way? Are there any tests I can take or anything I can do now to make sure my parts are in working order?
Appreciate your advice & help!
