Trying robitussin this month, has anyone else tried this?

Been ttc for 3 years and no luck. I heard robitussin works for thinning cervical mucus. Anyone tried this and if so how much did u take for how long and what was the outcome?

I read to start it 5 days before o... but I'm going to start a little sooner just to be sure.

When do you take the mucinex? I heard three days before the big o and right after??

What you should look for is the expectorant "guaifenesin", like in Mucinex. This drug does exactly that: thins out your mucus, including your cervical mucus. Make sure whatever you purchase has this ingredient only (unless you are feeling ill, then you can kill two birds with one stone ?). Taking an OTC with extra things in it will eventually do more harm than good.

I tried this for a few months. It definitely thinned everything out, but no BFP. Good luck, and I hope it works!
