Am I being selfish?

My daughter is 3yrs now and she never met her father she thinks my boyfriend is her dad. He dad didn't tell me he was married his mom told me when I was 8 months pregnant and she didn't know about me until then. He didn't want to sign her birth certificate so I just gave her my last name he cut her hair and cut up her car seat when she was at his moms house and they are still hiding my baby from his wife and I do feel like my baby should go through this... My boyfriend's family treat her like she family she evens calls his mom grandma.... Should I let her know who her dad is?  No negative comments please

Anyone can make a child but it takes an honest person to be a parent. Sounds like your boyfriend is her dad. He cares and is by your daughter side,  than that's her dad. Her sperm downer can fuck off. Because your boyfriend is her dad, not him. I would have the boyfriend sign  and let her know that her dad is right in front of her.

At such a young age she will not understand. I fear it will confuse her, make her doubt the security she has with your bf. If she is happy, explain down the road, when she is old enough to understand the difference between a dad and a sperm donor.

Being a dad is the one who is their for her, loves and supports your daughter blood or being the "biological dad don't mean anything in this role so let her keep calling him dad that's what she knows and your daughter is 3 and he has known her since 6months more then likely he will be there at the end of the day.

I wouldn't say anything until she's older and maybe brings it up to you.  My father wasn't in my life but I had my dad (step dad) but he's been there since I was 4.
