After episodes of breakthrough bleeding at 29, 31 and 32 weeks, I was hospitalized on Thanksgiving day. During observation for the unexplained bleeding, they discovered preeclampsia. We were placed on hospital bed rest and prayed to make it to 34 weeks.
Kid made his sudden arrival at 34 weeks to the day. He had finally shown signs of distress, so we were delivered via emergency c section. During delivery, they found a placental abruption that had likely caused my bleeding and had been leaking into the amniotic fluid. Two complications at once!
Baby spent two weeks in NICU, but we went home just in time for Christmas. Our late January 2015 baby showed up in early December!
