Long periods...

Am I the only one who has periods for like a month? I've had this kind of a period since I was in 5th grade when I became a woman. Doctors all say the same thing. Everyone's different and they checked my iron all the time. But is this normal for anyone else? Also how long do u ovulate? And when? I can't seem to pin point mine.
