Marriage & Drinking
Not sure if I'm in the right place to start a discussion.....So here goes, my husband's a drinker like 7 days a week drinker..he usually drinks 3 after work before he's off to bed but on his days off he drinks like he's getting free beer all night, like there's been a world shortage of beer and if he doesn't drink it he may never get another chance again. I'm not a drinker. A pretty introverted kinda girl, I like small groups and dont open up to people I know just because I don't like anyone knowing my business. I don't mind conversing with new people , I like new people I just like to keep them at arms distance until I'm comfortable sharing...My husband on the other hand cannot go out without drinking and he not only makes a fool of himself but me as well and causes all kinds of attention "which I hate". He's a social drinker and he normally drinks more than everyone else...My problem or should I say "our problem" stem from drinking, I cannot tolerate drunks, I don't know why or if there's others that have the same problem. I'm fine if you're buzzed and act right but when you don't know you're limit and drink like u have beer gluttony it's just disgusting & annoying as he**, I mean I don't knock or look down on those who drink, if u wanna drink..cool do what makes you happy but know when to stop 4 ur own good, I'm just saying that if u can't handle it then maybe u should give it up or take a long sobriety break until u can if you love it so much..My husband gets mad at me for not enjoying myself around him, then we end up in a fight..We can NEVER go anywhere w/out him drinuking, like seriously "can u not do anything without your beer in hand" I hate it...i always see couples just hanging out sober & I want that but we fight whenever he wants 2 start drinking, I get mad because it always leads to a night full of annoying drunk behavior or him making me feel guilty then drags me to some stupid bar to drink more......a aaaahhhh I'm going crazy, someone please help...
