Does everyone get a 3D ultrasound?

I just had one at the hospital and I thought that was going to be a 3D one since it was a more extensive appointment but they didn't do it. Are they ever going to do one? I have been so excited for it!

Not in Canada. You can pay for one but it's completely optional and it's in a different clinic

I don't think so.., at my clinic they only do them for high risk patients. Or you can pay to have one done electively.

No here in the UK no you don't. I had to pay for mine privately and it cost me £85 for a 10 min 3D scan.

Where I live in the US they have stopped doing the 3D unless medically necessary.

At my last ob appointment she did one . Totally wasn't expecting it but generally no they don't.

I didn't think I got one... But the other day I went for my Anatomy Re-scan (she didn't get all the pics at 20 weeks because baby boy decided to be stubborn). At the re-scan (22.5 weeks), she said, "I don't usually do these this early, but..." And we got these! It was a nice surprise.

I had one at 32 weeks with my son... It's amazing how accurate those things are.  My sonographer wanted the baby to bulk up a little before we did that ultrasound.

I think it depends on the dr but they did a 3d at my anatomy scan

I would ask because the clinic where I go told me they offer a free 3-D one at 28 weeks.
