Warm water bottle when trying to conceive??

Hi, my dh and I are ttc and I recently heard a tip regarding the use of a warm water bottle placed against the vagina after your partner ejaculates inside of you. After ejactulation you lie down and place the warm water bottle in between your legs/ pressed gently against the outside of your vagina. Apparently the warm temperature excites the sperm and increases speed and mobility enhancing chances for conception. Has anyone heard of this or tried it? If so, was it successful?

I doubt it works.

As a side note, laying down, putting your legs up, staying still, and not peeing after ejaculation do not heighten your chances of pregnancy either because the sperm gets to where it needs to in seconds.

I believe this fits in that section.

I feel this would do more harm than good. The vagina is already very warm and having it too warm can actually kill sperm

Try preseed, it helps the sperm get where it needs to go if that's the issue you guys are having.

You are very warm inside already from the excitement and friction, I doubt the bottle will make a difference.

Probably won't do anything, but I believe you should do whatever you want to keep your mental health good while ttc especially if it's taking a while. Putting your legs up after sex, this water bottle trick, being in special positions etc, don't really increase your chances, but those kind of things make you feel better and like you're actually doing something to help the process so. I definitely do a bunch of wives tales. I mean it hasn't worked for 12 months and putting my feet up only takes a few minutes might as well lol. Being calm and not stressed is more important than the actual hacks but if the result is you feel better go all out ❤️

Ok ok, people all say that “raising your legs doesn’t work” BUT BUT BUT, I started fertility treatments in January at a infertility center- I had multiple visits starting with clomid, then follicle check ultrasound, followed by trigger shot and directions on which days to have intercourse. My first month, January, they said due to my cervix position to lay on my back with hips slightly raised. 🤷🏼‍♀️ they said it, not me. I am pregnant now after two months so maybe it’s not wrong.
