Early scan measuring behind. Anyone else?

Question

Was having a bit of cramping (No bleeding) so my Dr. ordered an ultrasound to be sure not ectopic. Saw gestational sac but no embryo yet. Sac measured 5 weeks 2 days instead of the 7 weeks I thought I was based on my LMP. Dr said everything looked perfectly normal for a 5 week pregnancy but I'm worried that I'm 2 weeks behind where I thought I was :/ Any idea why this might be? Has anyone else gone through this with a positive result??

I measured almost 2 weeks behind around 7 weeks, now I'm 21 weeks with a healthy baby girl

I went Wednesday thinking I was 8 weeks 4 days but only measured at 8 weeks 0 days. But everything else looked good. Heartbeat was 167. ❤️

That happened to me. I thought I was 6 weeks. Had a scan which indicated that I was nearly 5 weeks but everything looked as it should. Had another scan two weeks later and I was at least 8 weeks from that scan- which fits in with dates. The sonographer said that it's why they don't give you an EDD until your 12 weeks scan. Apparently it gets a bit more accurate as you go along.

You may have ovulated later than you thought.

Same thing happened to me. Doctor said that LMP isn't always accurate because everyone's cycle length is different. I went back 10 days later and saw a perfect heartbeat. Best of luck!

I'm going thru the same thing suppose to be 8 weeks and messured at 5 weeks. I want to now how eveything turned out

I've had 3 pregnancies. 
And all 3 of the ultrasounds dated with conception over LMP but everything was normal still. 
It's pretty common. LMP is just an estimate for doctor until dating scan. 
They do say "due x/x/2015 give or take two weeks"

Yes I just went through the same thing. When I found out based on my LMP I was 8 weeks when I made the appointment and they did ultrasound I was only about 5 weeks. I'm at 9 weeks 5 days now. :)
