Should I stay with my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I have been together four months and ten days and we're in a long distance relationship (almost 4000 miles). He says he loves me, and wants to marry me, and have a family with me... but he lies, breaks promises, doesn't keep his word, completely ignores me, etc. My best friend told me to end it with him and we fell out over it. I love him so much, I don't want it to be over but I don't know how much more of this I can take... What should I do??

Never be with someone who witholds the truth. Ever. Liars are BAD. Especially for a relationship!  Trust me, I was in your position EXACTLY and it ended because not only could this kid NOT tell the truth but he also couldn't keep it in his pants while I was away.

Honestly you should fall and be with someone who makes you feel at peace. True bliss. You think it's hard until you walk away and realize you don't even want to look back. He says those things because he knows you want to hear it - what almost every woman wants to hear. It's a security scam. You're letting him feel "safe".

And at less than a year of being TOGETHER girl he shouldn't even bring all that stuff up!! 4 months is play time, not "dream of the future" time.

Dude, you've been together 4 months. He's already displaying a ton of red flags. Now is supposed to be the honeymoon stage, when everything is easy and coming up roses. If you're having this many struggles this early on, then it's not worth it. Don't waste any more of your time on a crap person like that. There's so many better guys out there who will treat you the way you deserve to be treated.

And I think you should stay with him but don't get your hopes up, like don't fall in love with him hard because you are not going to expect what he will do. My friends said the same thing. If he's distant, there may be a reason. Do you bring these things up to him, does it cause fights? It's so easy to fall so fast and start planning for the future right away, which makes it hurt all the worse if a break up happens. It's best to take these things slow to avoid more pain, but that can be hard when you think you've found the right person and it feels so good. Trust your instincts. If it's not a fulfilling relationship, somebody needs to change or else let it go.
