Still pregnant after miscarriage?

Question

2 frozen embryos transferred 12/18. On 12/25 faint but positive hpt. 12/27 HCG of 50. 12/29 HCG of 53. Dr says not hopeful for viable pregnancy. 12/31 HCG of 39. Dr certain of loss. 1/4 bleeding begins and continues till 1/9. Horrible cramps and pain on 1/5. Almost passed out and nearly puked a few times. 1/8 meeting with dr to discuss future plans and have HCG checked to see if  it has reached zero... It was 367. 1/10 HCG 511. Going back tomorrow for ultrasound and blood draw.

Dr says he is not sure what is happening. Could be ectopic but not having any pain. Could be left over tissue but could also be second baby.

Does anyone have any experience with declining and then rising HCG or with a seriously terrible bleed in early pregnancy? Would be 6 weeks and 2 days today.

HCG today was 1100. Would be 6w3d but can't see anything on ultrasound. Going back Wednesday. Dr is nervous I'm in danger. I'm nervous about terminating a viable pregnancy.

Another update: After 50+ days of bleeding (gag) it finally stopped for 2 weeks and then I had what seemed like a regular cycle. I went in for a sonohystogram between days 6 & 12 at my REs request to make sure my uterus was empty. Those are awful enough but mine showed that there was still something there. This morning, I had a hysteroscopy. He used a camera to see what was there and then removed it- I'm not really sure about the details because I was knocked out. He just called a few minutes ago to check on me and tell me what happened. It was the sac still hanging on. It had started to "scar down" so he was glad we went ahead and got it now. Hopefully this will be the end of this nightmare. He says we can do another transfer 6 months after the last dose of methotrexate which was 1/25. I don't even want to think about how far away that is. It also makes me nervous to think how close that is to our original due date of 9/4. God help me.

Update: 
The ultrasound showed a slightly larger gestational sac but still no yolk sac. The thing in my tube was still there. The dr is 100% certain that it is not a viable pregnancy and we agree. It should be 7 weeks today which is when most people can see a heart beat and we can't even see a baby. I got 2 shots of methotrexate. I have to go back on Tuesday and Friday to make sure HCG levels are dropping appropriately. He says it can take up to a week for it to start working so the tube issue is still a major factor and I should be conscious of pain in that area. The worst is that I have to have a second miscarriage.

Update: 
Went to dr this morning. Still waiting on lab results but this little sac showed up in my uterus. I should be 6w3d but ultrasound tech says measuring at 5 weeks. Can't see yolk sac or anything in there but it wasn't even there on Monday. Dr recommends methotrexate today because he doesn't think it is viable and I have something (looks like a clot but he's not sure) high in my tube by my ovary. 
We have decided to go back Friday for another ultrasound to see if it has changed. 
Still praying for a miracle. 
What do y'all think? What would you do? Hold out hope or terminate and move on?
