He can't let go of his past

Last night my fiance and I went to his house to bring the rest of his belongings to our new home that we bought together. As he was sorting, he came across old pictures & love letters. He was smiling & was boxing them to bring to our new home, he said they were valuable & bringing them. I said, no your not. He said yes I am and I better not do anything to them. Then he asked his nephews if they saw a crystal egg because it has a diamond ring in it (his past)

I told him, there's a reason why their cold your past. He got pissy....took the boxes anyways & did not talk or sleep with me last night.

Am hurt & angry at the same time. I don't want to tell him what to do, his 49. If he can't meet with me on this then I see no future with him. I don't have anything that belongs to my past in our home. I threw them, deleted them & gave them away when I said, yes to him. We purchased everything new when we bought the house.

I know there's no right or wrong answer to this. If his serious in starting a future with me, he should know what to do, then again his a man.
