Why is there hair there!?

I'm pretty sure many of you have experienced getting hair where you wish there wasn't any. I have some dark hair around my nipples, around my belly button, and a few under my chin. It gets so aggravating since some of the hairs are ingrown and cause scarring. It doesn't help that I'm pretty pale, but have those thick black hairs popping up to say hello. I get so embarrassed when my boyfriend sees them. Do you know any ways to get rid of the hair and also how to get rid of scarring?
