I don't think there is a "fake" love I think all feelings are valid, the question probably should be is it love that will last and you just never know.

I married my high school sweetheart 11 years ago. It can work, but you have to be willing to grow up and change together.

I said no, but really my answer is "rarely". I know several couples who met in high school and have gotten married and are doing great! I also know more who broke up in college, or got married and are miserable, cheat on each other, have a horrible sex life, etc etc and are only staying together because the dating world seems daunting when you didn't go through it in your 20s with the fellowship of your friends. I think most people grow apart and have different dreams and realize they are on totally different paths, but once in a while you meet someone you're really compatible with early in life and you get to spend your lives together.
