Any other nurses expecting in August?

Question

Anyone else here a full time shift working nurse? 
Just wondering how you're going with early pregnancy and shift work, being on your feet all day and eating enough? 
I was looking after a lady today who was diagnosed with Influenza A 8 hours into my 8.5hr shift :(  No one originally suspected so there were no respiratory isolation precautions until we found out. I've had a flu shot 9 months ago. I'm sure I'll be fine but I can't say it doesn't worry me a little. 
Would love to hear anyone else's experiences.

Yes, I'm a nurse working 12+ hour shifts. So far not bad being on my feet, but we'll see. The flu started cycling our floor as well. After the first case I heard of I started wearing a mask. You never know where you'll come in contact with that junk though.

I'm a nurse in an ICU. I try to stay away from as much as I can but obviously that's not always possible. If i have a patient with anything respiratory related I usually wear a mask for my protection. When you are pregnant your immune system is weakened so protect yourself!! 
As far as being on your feet, it gets really hard towards the end but the beginning and middle aren't as bad. This is my second pregnancy so I'm on my feet all the time with my 9 month old anyways 😊

Working 12 hour night shift and so far it's getting better. Was really tired and drained but it's starting to let up. I also eat every few hours and still get hot flashes . No heavy lifting I ask for help .

I'm a corpsman (medical assistant) in the navy and work 10 hour days in a pediatric clinic. It's not hard work yet except it's difficult when I'm told I can't take care of a certain child because they like to kick:/

I work as a district nurse and all my colleagues have been really supportive. I don't go to heavy patients (palliative patients who require rolling or heavy legs that require layer bandages), patients who need methotrexate injections or patients who may have risky behaviour. 
Yes we have a big caseload & do a lot of driving but being honest with staff has really benefitted my health whilst at work x

I'm a full time theatre nurse, working 10-12 hour shifts minimum. It hasn't affected me much other than being exhausted at the end of the day and not eating properly. I leave theatres during X-rays and my colleagues don't let me help move patients/other heavy objects.

Yes I'm a full time nurse. I work 4 10 hour shifts. I need to eat constantly and a full meal after just a few hours. My lower back hurts a little if I'm standing in one position for a while. This is hard work!
