How long after taking clomid before I should take a test?

Which test? OPK or HPT?   If OPK then start testing on cycle day 10 till you get a positive OPK.

If HPT test 14 days past ovulation or day you expect period.

The longer you wait, the less likely you are to get a false negative. I wait until the day before my period. Unless you have obvious symptoms.
