HSG??????

Question

Has anyone had an HSG done after their ectopic? How was it. Was it incredibly painful? I have mine scheduled next week and I've getting nervous.

So I had my HSG today...before you read this remember everyone is different and threasholds are different. So I had to get fully unclothed and into a hospital gown. I was walked into the X-ray room and asked to lay on the bed. Series is questions asked etc. once the speculum was in the catheter was inserted into the cervix (this I found was like a sharp scratch), the small balloon was inflated which was extremely uncomfortable for me even though I had taken paracetamol and one codeine an hour before the test. When the dye was pushed in I had the uncomfortableness of the balloon and then pressure from the dye..to which I did not like and actually moaned out loud from the 'pain'. As soon as the instruments were taken out all that subsided..I advise to take a pad (sanitary towel) as I had light bleeding afterwards. 
Please, please do not be scared as I feel this made me 'clam up' slightly inside as I was sooooo nervous which could be the reason why the catheter hurt me. 
Remember everyone is different and pain thresholds are different too...mine is not so great :(

I just had to have surgery, and yesterday I had to have the methotrexate shot bc my levels were starting to raise again.  My doctor did mention at my appt one week after surgery that he didn't think we needed to X-ray my tubes.  Is hsg what he was referring to?  Should I ask to have this done? We had just started ttc, and found out it was ectopic at 6 weeks, I started spotting and having very severe one sided cramps, went to er, and had surgery the same day.  Levels were dropping fine, until two weeks, and they started increasing again.  They were able to save my tube during surgery.

I had my X-ray August of last year. Turns out 3/4 of my tube was removed because my tube ruptured. My ectopic was in 2007 and we've been trying to conceive a year after that. One tube clear. I did have severe cramping that I was admitted to the ER.

Is this a standard test after an eptopic?  I really don't want to do it:( can't they see if there is a problem with ultrasound?

I had it done 8 months after my ectopic. I was nervous too but it wasn't that bad. In and out in 10 min or less. Just some cramping for a little while. Good luck! Hope your tubes are all cleared.

How long after the eptopic do you get this done?  I just had my first eptopic and got the shot 5 weeks ago.
