Not having a baby shower

Is anyone not having a baby shower because they have no one to throw it?  I'm almost 37 weeks and have not had a shower. My friends haven't hinted at throwing one and I don't have family around. I would feel selfish putting one together myself when I really don't feel like I need one, but I also feel disappointed that I'm not getting one. I wasn't invited to my friends' showers because they were out of state.  I just kinda feel like venting a bit. I can afford to buy what we need and I did get a lot of stuff from my sister that she doesn't need anymore. Am I wrong to be disappointed?
