Husband doesn't want me on birth control?

My husband and I have been ttc for 9months. I'm tired of trying right not so I suggested birth contol. He completely freaked and told me no. I just wanted to take a break for a little but he said I cant... why would he be like this? He has never acted like he is excited for a baby.

I think you should not use any kind of hormonal birth control  (pills,  patch, ring, depo shot, etc.) instead of you REALLY want to use something, use condoms or spermicide. However I personally think you should not use anything but stop actively trying (tracking, etc. Just have sex when you guys want to!) a doctor won't even see you about fertility problems until you've been trying over a year (the younger you are the less willing they are too talk to you before a year). I understand you're upset and stressed (which could be causing part of the problem). Ultimately is your choice though. But have a talk with hubby.

9 months isn't that long to wait when ttc. Often times docs won't even consider you for fertility treatments until after 12! I know it's hard, but don't give up! My hubby n I have been ttc over 7 months with no pregnancy yet. I'd ask why your husband responded this way. Communication is extremely important to stay on the same page (and the same team!) especially with such an emotional journey as becoming a parent. It is your body, but you share it now with your husband, try to respect his opinion and come to a solution together. Remember, it takes two to make a child. Keep in mind that it's just as meaningful for a man to become a parent as it is for a woman! 😊 Hope this encourages you!

Have you talked to him asking why he said no? IMO its your choice. But I'd talk with him first.
