Brown clots after heavy bleed?
Middle of the night Sunday I woke up to heavy, clotty bleeding. It was bright red so I grabbed my coat and went to the nearest ER. The bleeding seemed to be one big gush (sorry, gross image), followed by just some spotting, all my labs came back fine and the baby, placenta and cervix looked great on the ultrasound so they sent me home.
I saw my OB the next day who agreed that everything looked good, and that I shouldn't be concerned unless I'm still bleeding 48-72 hours later.
Today I'm still having brown spotting, which she seemed to think was normal, but it's heavier than yesterday and suddenly really clotty. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is it weird that it's worse today than yesterday? When did it go away for you? I'm 17, nearly 18 weeks.
