If you knew your child's killer, would you kill them?

If your child was murdered brutally, would you ignore all morals and kill his/her killer?

I always find it so interesting how the Ten Commandments and right to life only matter when it applies to abortion. Hahaha.

And before you go all, "but this is different, these are bad guys, these are killers." Just stop and acknowledge that you use your religious argument conveniently.

By the way, I don't think I could ever forgive.

I know enough people in my local prisons that would do it for me. I would let them get convicted and make sure they got into general population after I made a few calls that is. I already almost went to jail for almost killing my step-kids ex step father because he punched them in the face and I saw it through the window when I went to pick them up. I punched in the glass on the front door and unlocked it, tossed my phone at my step-daughter and told her to call the cops. Now I'm 5'3" and at the time 113lbs and he was 5'11 and around 180-200lbs. It took three cops to get me off him and three days for him to wake up at the hospital. I broke 19 bones in my hand and tore some muscles in my sholder and back. After my kids told the cops what happened I got to go home after the hospital with a date to show for court. The judge dismissed breakig and entering, assult, attempted murder, and a few other charges the guy filed against me and put it as self-defense on the behalf of a miner. No jail time for me but he got 2 years for each of my kids and more because he failed a drug test and had neddles in his pocket when they searched his clothes. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Is this a serious question? What's the purpose of killing someone who killed your child? What on earth would you get out of that besides jail time? Because you definitely wouldn't get your child back. Nonsense.

yes if I had nothing to lose.  but I have another kid and it would be selfish to make the other kid lose his/her mommy all because I want revenge.

If crimes of passion can lead to less time because blind rage and emotion can destroy all logical thought....
I would gladly do The time for killing someone who murdered my only child.
Wait on the justice system? If the murderer is where I can reach them...on the street.... Yes.

I would want to, but I wouldn't.  I couldn't take someone's life (outside of self desense, because I imagine if someone was attacking me or someone in front of me, I would do anything I could to stop them) But as hard as it would be to not hurt them, me being in prison the rest of my life isn't going to bring my child back. It would only cause more pain to my family and cause my husband and other children to lose their wife/mother.  That's just not fair to them.

I've got connections. All there would be is a snap of my fingers and it's nighty night time. But to do it myself, no. I have to much to lose. And I'd rather go through the grieving process in my own home not a jail cell and be able to visit my babies grave whenever I want. But my oh my may god be with that person if that ever did happen. ..don't drop the soap b*tch.

The guy who raped and murdered a 5 yr old girl when I was 5 and was camped in my backyard trees.. Didn't get killed. My dog wouldn't let me near the bushes during the time he was camped (we didn't know the guy was in there). But he was spotted by someone else and the police arrested him for that. Turned out he had evidence of killing the little girl. He is in jail for life but her parents never killed him.

Personally, I wouldn't kill my child's killer but I would sure need to see them in jail till death. I don't know what I would do if the person got bail. I'm in Canada and child killers seem to start roaming free pretty quick. The last guy I know of got like 4 years for killing his family -idk if torture was involved but I heard it on the radio a couple months back.

So I read this book called defending Jacob- all of you interested in this question need to read it. It's about an ADA who starts to investigate a child murder in his small town but his only son gets implicated in it so of course he gets kicked off the case and has to go from working for the state to working against it to save his son...the evidence against his son is pretty appalling but he believes he didn't do it...his wife and the child's mother though....it's just a good book- read it!
