anyone here have an experience do a hsg test?

An hsg is a test where they insert a catheter into your cervix and put dye into your uterus. The dye is supposed to come out the ends of your fallopian tubes. They take xrays to see if the dye comes out. If it does then your tubes are clear. If not they can sometimes force them open with liquid. Some people say it doesn't really hurt for me it hurts but I always have a blockage that has to be cleared. If you have it done make sure to take Tylenol or ibuprofen about a half hour before to help with the cramping. Usually once the teat is done (and it doesn't take very long) the pain really subsides and I just have mild cramps for a lil bit. :)

I have had it done twice and will be talking to my doc about having it done again sometime in the next couple of months.
