Cramps after quitting the pill

I recently quit taking the pill after being on it for about 8 years. I finished my last pill pack and had a normal period. Now, 6 days after my menstrual cycle, I'm still having cramping. The pain is not severe, but definitely unpleasant. I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced anything like this. Is it something to be concerned about, or just my body adjusting after being on the hormones for so long?
