hes stopping smoking weed..

so my patner has smoked marijuana since he was 17(now 25) and he's trying to stop it and he's became very aggressive and violent towards me, only me no one else. I'm getting very scared of him but I still want to stand by him and try to help I love him a lot and don't want to split up anyone help please?
