Is Austism over diagnosed?

Do you think more children are really autistic, or do you think parents want a name and cause for their child's over activity, slower development, and obsessions?
Personally, I think Autism, ADD/ADHD, etc, are grossly over diagnosed, and a big part of it is that parent need a reason or an explanation for their kid not being "normal". 
Do you think Autism is over diagnosed?
