Early Gender Screenings?

My husband and I are thinking about going to the 3D/4D place in our area at 15/16 weeks for an early gender scan. I obviously see some people get inaccurate results but it seems like this happens more on the regular 2D ultrasound... I've read that the 3D is way more accurate for an early gender scan. Does anyone have personal experience with an early reveal with 3D, and can give any thoughts about accuracy/if it's worth it? We're talking about going early for reasons with my husbands work, but I would appreciate any guidance!!

I went at exactly 15 weeks for a 3d gender scan and the sonogramer was 200% sure baby was a girl and that was confirmed at my 20+4 weeks scan. Was £85 so very expensive but was great experience and worth it.

I did the scan but cause the 3d/4d used the babies fat to see them the baby is so small and has basically none at 15 weeks you may only see him or her more clearly on the 2d. My friend is a US tech and owns her own office doing this and said you can see at early screening at 15 weeks in 2d but the 3d/4d to spend the money on is much more worth it when the baby is bigger and has more weight on them so you can get better profile and such. I did it at 21 weeks and wish I waited a bit longer. Thinking of going again at 31 weeks.

I just went to a private place to find out gender early. The machine they use does both 2d and 3d/4d. The tech would switch back and forth by just clicking something to see different things but when it came to checking the gender, she said it's much easier to see using the 2d image. I don't know if all machines are like that but I bet they will be able to look with both.

Both me and my sister in law found out at 15 weeks, 2 days what we were having. She went to an independent place and it wasn't too much money, maybe $75? But they told us they rely more on 2-D to tell rather than 3-D, although we both got awesome 3-D shots! And both were correct! Now I am pregnant with my second, and at my nuchal screening the perinatalogist said he would take a very good guess that I was having a girl...that was at 12 weeks, 2 days, and it just happened to be the right angle...but it was confirmed with the Harmony blood test a week later!
