Who gets along with there SO's mom?

Ever since me and my man got together (3yrs ago) we've been inseparable. Except for when he's deployed. He doesn't even want to spend time with his family. We just enjoy eachothers company. His friends make jokes as to why they haven't seen him and his friends like me. And recently we got married and his mom told him to watch out and called me manipulative. I have three exes and I still till this day get along with their moms. Is it wrong for me to not care if I have his mothers approval?
