Nipple Problems?

My nipples are really dry and flaky regardless of what I do. I'm 16 weeks pregnant now. But I moisturize them constantly, but it doesn't help. They also feel really hard now. I don't know how to explain it, but thicker than usual ? Any help, tips, advice in solving this? Thank you in advance.

I had really dry/flaky nipples for months and used coconut oil or a deep cream and still didn't do much, my dr said it is normal and to keep moisturizing them

Dont moisturize your probaly irritating them and no soap either. Buy some nipple cream and if you must use soap use vagisil

It's from the excess oil built up and the dead skin not flaking off. Exfoliate. As weird as it sounds I'm 7w5d and I exfoliate my whole body with sea salt scrub once a week and my skin looks better for it and my nipples aren't dry and flaky anymore.

Maybe try nipple cream for breast feeding? It did wonders for me when I breast fed.
