How many months did you try before getting pregnant?

It's almost going to be 3 months that my fiancé and I have been trying to conceive! I just took a test and again, it came out negative. I'm trying not to lose hope here, but it's a little disheartening and it's been bringing me down a lot lately...

We tried for 8 months got pregnant on the 8th month but misscarried at 5 weeks :( we have 3 already didn't take this long with them had a chemical a month later and conceived 10 days after the bleeding stopped now 11 weeks x

I tried for 8 months and was loosing hope as well. I got pregnant at the 9th month and now have the most beautiful baby boy! I think I just had to wait that long to get HIM!!! Any other month and I would have had a different baby! Just be patient till you get your perfect one !!! 
Now I am trying for the second one and it's been 3 months!

Sweetie, my husband and I have been trying for over 2.5 years, even after going to my OB/GYN and her saying that all my hormone levels are fine (despite having polycystic ovarian syndrome) and my husband getting checked also- she said that we should have no problem. Some people just luck out, but from what I've read, closer to a year is about normal.

Up to a year is totally normal! After that, it's likely there is something going on. I just got my BFP after 19 months of trying, including one pregnancy and miscarriage from the 3rd to 4th month. My obgyn couldn't find anything wrong but my fertility doctor did, and I got my BFP after my first treatment!

It took my husband and I 13 months to conceive our baby #1 and it took 1 month to conceive baby #2. I was on birth control for 7 years before TTC #1. I believe that was the issue. I had mirena in for 2 years before having it removed to try for #2.

We tried for 1 year. After about 8 months the doctor tested us and my progesterone was too low but she wanted to see if it would naturally go up. Then she prescribed the progesterone 3 months later because I asked for it. Then started dieting and exercising (I was 115 lbs) and lost 5 lbs and accidentally got pregnant. Was supposed to start my progesterone on the next cycle that never came.

Oh and I was tracking my food. Turns out I was not getting enough protein in my diet. And took a b12 supplement.   Myfitnesspal is a good app and my husband bought me a fitbit. Stay active. It's good for you!
