Why do people constantly have to bring in race to everything!? Good lord! You keep pointing fingers and claiming race this race that, this race this this race that is only keeping racism around and making it worse. Stop labeling everything as race! A man gets caught selling drugs, he gets in trouble and goes to jail like he deserves... Doesn't matter the race of the man selling the drugs or the man/woman who arrested the man selling the drugs.

You think you're tired of hearing about it?  Well, I'm tired of LIVING it, and so are countless others.

Oh, but I'm terribly sorry that I realize that addressing issues on a personal or societal level is how you make progress.

I'm sorry that I might have addressed discrimination on several posts to try and make others understand.

I'm sorry that I have to potentially deal with discrimination every time I set foot outside, but you have the luxury of complaining and then closing an app.

I don't focus on my race. I focus on being the best person I possibly can be. I don't have to focus on my race because society and others do it for me.

Others have reminded me that I was "other", "not good enough" or flat out "not welcome" due to some phenotypical characteristics that I can't change. But it is absolutely disheartening when my reaction to poor treatment is invalidated and treated as a mere nuisance, mostly by people who will NEVER be in that position.

Racism unfortunately adversely impacts many people and is a shortcoming of humanity, but people have more tolerance for being flooded with threads about a damned dress!

You specifically may not have done anything to me specifically, however you (current white people) are benefitting RIGHT NOW from a system that was built by your ancestors on the blood and bones of mine. So yes you may not have done anything specifically racist recently, but by passively letting the system ride as is you're contributing to the global systemic oppression of poc, and in the states, specifically Black people. We literally die by the system everyday based on circumstances out of out control (our skin color).
