Sex at 15?

I'm 15, and my boyfriend and I always talk about having sex. I feel like I want to, but everyone tells me it's not all it's cracked up to be. I love him and he really makes me happy, I told him I would on my 16th birthday, but we keep doing things that are closer and closer to going all the way, and its not anywhere near my birthday. all my friends are doing it, and they're saying I should.. Any advice?
