How serious are your cramps?

I'm having really serious bad cramps today and I don't know why. I can barely focus on my homework. Any home remedies you guys know to soothe the pain?

Using a heating pad seemed to help some this last time.

I've gone to the emergency room for mine. Lay on your left side with your right leg bent and left leg straight, it takes the tension off some of your muscles. Also lay on the floor with your legs on a chair, like so your knees are at the front and feet at the back of the chair, it does the same thing, I also hear it slows down your flow but I just do it for the pain

I have a compression brace and it puts pressure on my stomach which helps a ton or I have my boyfriend sit on me or lean on my stomach
