Late period?

Ok... So my period was suppose to come on Saturday 2/28 yesterday I started spotting. But it was that brownish color... No actual blood yet. I'm not on BC and my fiance and I aren't really preventing pregnancy. Took a test last week and it was negative. Should I take another one? Or is this brown discharge my period this time around?

The discharge could be left over blood from last period that didn't come out. It happened to me. I was 56 days late . But one of the stages of your period lasts longer than usual at least one Time in your life. More than likely you'll be okay. Wait a couple more weeks and take a test

I would wait a few more days before retesting.  Then you'll know if you are actually late.
