Is there an appropriate time to wait?

I started miscarrying yesterday. My husband wants to start trying after my next cycle but is understanding that it's dependent on my mental ability to try. I don't know when I'll be ready. Does it look bad to have a miscarriage and then be knocked up a month later? Is there a proper time frame for these things? I mean I'm losing a pregnancy I feel like that should be respected maybe?
