Am i crazy?

Question

I received a thank you note today in thw mail for a friends wedding back in thw summer..  its a thank you note off u order off line with a message typed in it.  Not signed and nothing personal about it at all..  is it just me or is this rude??   (Maybe rude isnt the right word) but im not sure how i feel about this. I feel like they should be personalized at aleast hand written or something maybe have a signature or pur name on it?

Maybe they are just crazy busy with other things. I would personally just be happy that you did receive a thank you note whether it was hand written or not. That's just me though

Lol I'm thrilled to read these comments. I hand wrote all of my thank yous but lost my list! I was nesting today and found it so I wrote the rest of them this morning. I got married late last June. Luckily only 10 were left and 5 I don't have addresses to the people(verbal invite). I would probably be perturbed that it was typed and such but at the same time better late than never. Stuff happens and some people are super busy on their days off, like how it's been that long and I'm just now taking stuff out of boxes.

I think it's pretty rude. I mean, if they were going to take the easy way, why did it take so long to get them? We wrote thank you notes as we opened gifts and cards, it was pretty easy, and we got to enjoy each gift and share stories aboutm he people that gave them to us.

I agree. I hand write thank you notes for everything. I always get told more so by older realtives how nice that is. Growing up thats what I was taught to do. And my kids will do the same.

I think moden day couples don't take enough time for etiquette and courtesy. It's unfortunately a lost art form and people of the now generation don't understand the importance of
Prioritizing time to go the extra mile to show they are grateful. Sending a stock thank you is the same as not sending one at all in my eyes.

I'm with you. It took me three months to huger all of my thank you a out but I wanted to make sure they were all hand written and personalized. Your wedding is a big deal. People attending and gifting is a big deal. Make notice and let them see you truly appreciate it in my opinion.

Anytime someone does something nice for me or gives me something, I always write a thank you note. My husband and I handwrote all of our wedding thank yous'. It's so important to do this, even now. It lets people know how much you care and appreciate what they did for you. A phone call, text or email just doesn't cut it.
