I need a little help and reassurance

So this is a little tmi I guess. I've been pretty sick with flu like symptoms I've had a really bad cough and I have asthma so it just makes it worst. But this cough has been going on for 3-4 days. But today I went to the bathroom at about 1 this afternoon and I wiped and the was a very small clot no blood or anything. I call my ob and they didn't seem concerned because I'm having no cramping or any other signs of a miscarriage. They think it has everything to do with the coughing. My husband and I are trying to stay calm because we miscarried in November. I'm 8 weeks and 2 days today.
