What week begins your 2nd Trimester?

I've read about it on several websites and many say week 13 and many say week 14. I'll probably ask my doctor Tuesday but I hit 12 weeks today and wanted to announce when I entered the 2nd. Just wanted to know you guys thoughts. 😊

It depends on your doctor/book/app.  I asked my doctor and she uses 14 for start of second and 28 for start of third.  I asked her why and her only real answer was that it was a more even split.  Not scientific, but I think you can announce when you want.

We decided to announce at 12.5 weeks because that's my husband's birthday! I figure it's close enough 😀
