Birth control - IUD?

Question

Does anyone use the IUD as their method of birth control? What's been your experience with it? I'm thinking about using it as my form of birth control. Also, a girl friend of mine uses the Nuva Ring and says it's been her favorite. Thoughts/experiences on that as well?

I'm on Mirena iud & I've loved it. I've tried every BC offered before this and it's been my fave. I don't have any kids & haven't had any serious issues. I haven't even had a period on it. I've experienced minor cramps every so often. But nothing a little Tylenol can't handle.

I have mirena it's been  two months now I love it Pros you can't feel it less periods (depends on the person) last for five years if you want and can never forget to take it lol 😂 Cons  at the beginning you might bleed for the first two months (it's worth it)  here is a diagram of what it is going to look like

I'm getting marina Thursday. Any tips??? Also just incase. How would you tell if your pregnant after? And how long after its placed do you recommend waiting before use of tampons or having sex

I've had mirena 3 years, no problems. Love not having to worry about daily pills, I have a super light, 2-day period a month, and I'm already set on getting another when this one expires. I used the Nuva Ring before mirena, and I had an allergic reaction. TMI- It irritated my vagina. I was inflamed, itchy, and in pain. I went back to my obgyn thinking I had an infection, and she said it was a common side effect. A few days without it and I was back to normal. It also fell out or got in the way for sex, my husband didn't like feeling it inside either. And I hated having to take it out, rinse it off, put it in a safe place-get busy- and then remember to put it back in before bed. Ugh.

I got pregnant on Nuva Ring :/ then tried the IUD and it fell out. I give up haha.

On nuvaring for 3 years now. I love it! I was dead set on an iud but insurance wanted too much out of pocket. I've been told there's less complications with nuvaring. Only thing is the hormones sometimes kill my sex drive. I don't want to switch now because we will most likely start ttc next summer or so after we get married. I think I will see about the non hormone implant when it's time for bc again. For my situation right now nuvaring works for me.

I have the paraguard going on 5 years in oct lasts 10 yrs no horomones definately using as bc after 4 children
