Does anyone on here have vaginismus?

I am diagnosed with Vaginismus, I have had councelling, Botox and hypnotherapy and finally my hubby and I can have sex again.

I am happy about this but my sex drive is practically non existent.

I just wondered, do any of you lovely ladies have vaginismus? How does it impact on your (sex)life? X

I had vaginismus up until this past summer.  I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!  I am sorry to hear that you have been suffering from it!  I shed so many tears of confusion and frustration from it, and not many doctors could really guide me on how to overcome it - I even had my hymen removed and was told that would solve it!  Last year, I meant someone through my current doctor who had also suffered with vaginismus but was cured.  I can't explain the relief I felt after finally meeting someone who understood what was going on.  Long story short, she introduced me to some doctors in NY that specialize in vaginismus!!!! They were amazing and within 2 weeks, I was cured - able to have intercourse, exams, etc.  it was the best decision of my life!  Our marriage is so much stronger, and we are now 7 weeks pregnant!!  If you want any additional info, let me know!  They are amazing and they offer a cure that lasts!

Physical therapy really helped me, along with using the different sized dilators consistently. I had another issue in top of vaginismus that also made sex painful, but I've learned how to manage it and regularly see an expert for maintenance.

I don't have vaginismus but can I just say you are so brave and that is fantastic that you found therapy options that worked for you. I have read a lot about vaginismus because I have tactile defensiveness/sensitivity and it often comes up in the research I do. Congratulations. I'm sorry I don't have any pointers on increasing your sex drive, but I just wanted to say I'm so glad for you. 😊
